With the success of the first generation iPad being released in April 2010, looks like the new iPad may see an arrival soon as Apple recently sent out invitations to their special event in San Francisco on March 2, 2011. Apple has yet to confirm, but rumors have said that this will be the unveiling of the second generation iPad. Many will surely be sitting on the edge of their seats.

Starting at $999, the new MBAs feature Core 2 Duo processors, 64GB-256GB of built-in solid state flash storage, high-res displays, and a much lighter body, 2.3 lbs in the 11.6” model and 2.9 lbs in the 13”.

Apple iPad

Apple’s rumored device was officially revealed today as the Apple iPad, an all-in-one multimedia tablet. The iPad is a super thin design that’s half an inch thin and features a 9.7 inch screen, 802.11 WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 16-64GBs of storage, and an incredible 10 hours of battery life. The iPad comes in two versions — one with Wi-Fi and one with both Wi-Fi and 3G ($15 a month for 250MB, $30 a month for unlimited). Standout apps of course come in house from Apple such as iBooks, for reading and purchasing e-books and iWork, for productivity. Thanks to a new iBook Store, you’ll be able to buy and download books to read, just like you do music and movies on your iPhone. There’s also a bunch of unexpected accessories, including a Keyboard Dock and a Portfolio case that can double as a stand. Expect to be able to pick up your iPad in late March.

The Apple iMac ($1,999-$1,999) sees its latest evolution with a new 27” inch LED-backlit display. Which brings myself the urge to upgrade my G4 tower to the latest and greatest iMac. Apple’s new desktop also comes in a 21.5” model and are available in options such as 3GHz Core 2 Duo processors or the latest Quad-Core i5 or i7 processors, up to 16GBs of RAM, up to 2TBs of storage, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and a choice of Nvidia or ATI graphics.

iPhone 3G [S]

Its that time again and Apple has revealed their latest gadget, the new iPhone 3G S ($200-$300; June 19). The S stands for speed, the new iPhone is up to twice as fast as the iPhone 3G.  The 3GS also introduces a number of new features: a 3-megapixel autofocus camera, video recording capability, longer battery life, hands-free voice control, a built-in digital compass, Copy & Paste, MMS, Spotlight Search, a new Find My iPhone feature, 3D graphics, and to top it Nike + iPod support. Running the new iPhone OS 3.0 which will be available June 17 as a free update for your current iPhone. It will come in 16GB and 32GB capacities in the black and white.
