bObles

bObles can be chairs, stools, and tables, but they can also be seesaws, tunnels, and so much more. Made of EVA foam with soft surface and shaped to resemble different animals, each of the bObles provides new opportunities for play and movement. All the tumbling animals can stand alone and will each in their own way influence motor skill development. Use them alone as furniture or use them together to create daring obstacle courses. Children of different ages will find different uses for each piece as they grow. What might have been a comfy chair for a one year old will become a rolling toy for a 5 year old. Stack up a few and even mom and dad can sit on them.

The Frick Residence by KRDB

A long and narrow steel beam infill house for artist Laurie Frick in Austin Texas by design-build firm KRDB. The main entry is activated with a subtle push into a generous hallway that doubles as gallery for the client’s art collection. The requirements were for a 1600sf one-bedroom, two-bathroom house with an office and a 700sf studio on an infill lot in Barton Heights. The previous home was moved off the site, leaving a constricted buildable area located between a Diadora Cypress at the street and a magnificent Live Oak and swimming pool to the rear.
