Apple’s rumored device was officially revealed today as the Apple iPad, an all-in-one multimedia tablet. The iPad is a super thin design that’s half an inch thin and features a 9.7 inch screen, 802.11 WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, 16-64GBs of storage, and an incredible 10 hours of battery life. The iPad comes in two versions — one with Wi-Fi and one with both Wi-Fi and 3G ($15 a month for 250MB, $30 a month for unlimited). Standout apps of course come in house from Apple such as iBooks, for reading and purchasing e-books and iWork, for productivity. Thanks to a new iBook Store, you’ll be able to buy and download books to read, just like you do music and movies on your iPhone. There’s also a bunch of unexpected accessories, including a Keyboard Dock and a Portfolio case that can double as a stand. Expect to be able to pick up your iPad in late March.
